Good Samaritan Taxi Driver Returns Lost Belongings to Indian Tourist
In a remarkable demonstration of honesty and kindness, Mr. Tshering Dorji, a 31-year-old taxi driver from Chamgang, Dagala Gewog, Thimphu, exceeded his call of duty by returning misplaced possessions to a grateful Indian tourist.
On October 22, 2023, Mr. Tshering Dorji had the privilege of assisting Mr. Yogen Tshering Bhutia, an Indian tourist from Chowrasta, Darjeeling, who had lost a significant sum of money and important documents. The recovered items included Nu. 43,000/-, IC 16000, SBI ATM cards, and personal identification cards.
Tshering Dorji found these valuable belongings at the Tashichho Dzong viewpoint in Ziklukha while on his way back to town. Recognizing the importance of these possessions to their owner, he immediately took it upon himself to ensure their safe return.
