Addiction does not affect one person alone—it can reshape the emotional, financial, and relational wellbeing of the whole family. Families may experience fear, guilt, anger, grief, isolation, and uncertainty, while attempts to “help” can sometimes unintentionally enable harmful patterns.
These posters encourage families to recognise unhealthy patterns, communicate openly, care for their own needs, seek professional support, and remember that they are not alone. Recovery is not only about changing substance use—it is also about rebuilding connection, boundaries, understanding, and hope within the family. Addiction_its impact on family.ppt
