Omitted bias?
As far as we understand, higher education becomes both an enabler and a motivator of outward migration. Ultimately, the underlying target is improved livelihood.

Apart from blessings it generates tangible economic externalities.
Our unique socio-cultural fabric suggests that conventional market drivers such as trade fairs, celebrity events, or sporting competitions are unlikely to generate large-scale public gatherings or meaningful domestic spending.

Pushing the boundaries of innovation in Bhutanese agriculture.

Technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace, often outpacing our ability to fully grasp or adopt it. While modern innovations offer solutions to nearly every challenge across industries, the key barriers remain affordability, technical know-how, and ethical considerations in their proper use.
For the first time, the Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with ETD, GovTech, is taking a step towards transforming traditional agricultural practices in Bhutan. We are launching a Proof of Concept (PoC) for soil health assessment using multispectral drone imaging, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency in farming.
Following this, we will extend the initiative to plant health monitoring and targeted fungicide application using agricultural drones. This project aims to develop a comprehensive agricultural database, laying the foundation for real precision farming in Bhutan—just as seen in other advanced agricultural nations.
To ensure informed decision-making, we will conduct a benefit-cost analysis at the end of the cropping season.
Stay tuned for new developments as we bring innovation to Bhutanese agriculture.
Thanks to ETD, GovTech for the technical and fund support

We would like to extend our thanks to all presenters and participants for their active engagement in the second Agricultural Technical Seminar (ATS). Special appreciation goes to Professor Kentaro Kawasaki for his insightful presentation on "How to Measure the Impact of Policy: The Case of Causality." His in-depth exploration of policy impact assessment methods, with a focus on causality, was both engaging and valuable.
For those interested in delving deeper into these concepts, Professor Kawasaki will be conducting an in-person session in the future.
Please stay updated on the Department of Agriculture's website for information on this and the next seminar.

Vendors perceive the acquired value from the sale of goods as inadequate, whereas purchasers contend that the substantial expenditure incurred in procuring said goods is not justified. Does this manifest the effects of inflation?
