*She Her*
She, her — the pulse beneath my ribs,
the soft echo my soul calls ngwanole.
She, her — the reason sleep flees from my eyes,
the gentle storm that stirs my calm,
the sweet ache I never asked for,
yet would never trade.
She, her — who taught me the language of tears,
tears of joy when my body remembers her touch,
when my legs tremble,
my toes curl —
when love feels like prayer whispered through skin.
She, her — who brushed the cobwebs from my sight,
so I could finally see me — clearly, wholly,
without shame or shadow.
She, her — who sowed self-love in the garden of my chest,
who silenced the cruel voices,
those ghosts of worthlessness that haunted my breath.
She, her — who dared me to exist without apology,
to peel back the layers of fear and stand in my own light.
She, her — who dared me to face my demons,
to cradle my wounds,
to call them holy.
She, her — who dared me to love,
to grow,
to unravel and still be worthy.
She, her — my blue,
the calm after every storm,
the familiarity of forever in a face I’ve just met.
She, her — I love without pause,
I root for without reason.
She, her — brilliance wrapped in beauty,
a symphony of everything good I once thought unreachable
