Yesterday we had a Kgotla meeting at Ga-Masilwana ward. The Honourable Minister of Labour and Home Affairs Hon Pius Mokgware gave detailed updates on bills recently passed in parliament. Some of the bills passed are: Citizenship (Amendment) Act (No. 26 of 2024), national registration (Amendment) Act, Births and Deaths Registration Act (Review), and finally the Employment and Labour Relations Act (No. 27 of 2025). The Minister highlighted that following parliament proceedings empowers citizens to hold their leaders accountable, directly understand how national budgets and policies impact their daily lives and actively participate in the democratic process.

Good morning we are at Maulana Kgotla for Bonewamang Council Ward Kgotla meeting. Residents of this area were happy to hear positive updates regarding water supply challenges, land allocation, unemployment amongst others. Molepolole South MP Hon Shima Monageng alongside officials from different government departments addressed these issues.
