Be advised that this is the fire being seen by residents of San Ignacio. The fire is located behind the Orange Orchard on Joseph Andrew drive where a portion of land has been cleared and plowed for apparent farming. While the fire is not threatening any residential area, the smoke will prove to be a nuisance as it is already affecting areas within the town.

TTFD asks the general public, be it civilians or disgruntled firefighters, to kindly refrain from commenting/posting any form of negativity on our page or posts. We are all one in the same department. Brothers and sisters if you may. And most of us have, at some point, felt like we had been a victim of some sort of injustice. Be mindful however, that upon becoming a firefighter, you did so, not only to get paid, but to serve our community. While freedom of speech is a right, please practice that right publicly on your own page and not hide behind fake profiles to comment on a page representing a specific department. Your comment will be deleted and your account blocked. Thank you kindly for your understanding in this matter.

Another day, another school presentation! Today we had the pre-schoolers of Saint Hilda's Anglican School visit our station all the way from Georgeville Village. Students got hands on experience on what being a firefighter is all about. And also got to ride around town in the big red truck!
