In addition to scheduled food outreach, we provide emergency supplies and food to those in crisis throughout the week as the need arises. We receive weekly donations of food and attempt to distribute all items including clothing, hygiene and housing, building supplies to those in outdoor conditions, immediately upon donation. Our goal is that each person in homelessness would be cared for with com

I’ve seen a lot of “Gofundme” fundraisers circling around Facebook for the folks in Faulder who lost their places, and that is terrific… please donate to them if you can… the folks of faulder are amazing people and they need a lot of financial support to rebuild ….

But this post is to announce a donation avenue to help Dave and Shelley Shramm get their house functional again and take care of stacking bills, buy food supplies and fuel for generators etc

As you all know I met Dave a few days after the fire came through and levelled faulder, I sat with him on and off for days to just keep him company so he wasn’t alone and didn’t go crazy 🤪 God brought us together. What I learned in that dark time from Dave will stick with me forever…. We sat in darkness and ashes-he told me how him and his wife had beat cancer-Dave twice, and he’s not giving up. The odds were stacked against him, but he kept pressing through… he watched everything burn to the ground around him and he said” I’m not giving up-we will get through this, and we will rebuild”… Dave is the kind of guy that will gives and gives, when I first met him he was trying to send the food he had left-out to people that needed it more.

So I have secured the email of Dave’s son Michael for a donation avenue. If anyone has followed this story and has it on their hearts to make a contribution to their family, please see the email at the bottom of this post. Dave has no access to banking or communications at this time so Michael will be catching donations and transferring to the family.

PLEASE NOTE!!*** GZM-Will not be receiving donations through the website for Dave and family, please make direct donations to email provided below. GZM is only hosting the post and wants nothing to do with this families finances. ❤️🤗🫶🏼

Anything will help this family get their home back up and running, and buy some supplies for the next while.

Please join with me and congratulate Derek on his 1 year….

Derek was a local that lived under a doorway beside the Alano club in Abbotsford. He’s always been a delight to be around but he suffered from addiction and found himself in the bottle every day - all - day….

Derek made the choice to change his life and he went through treatment, and entered into A sober living house and he’s continuing and thriving on his journey in sobriety with a lot of support and encouragement along the way from the staff there. ❤️❤️❤️

I ran into Derek at the gas station and he was so proud to show me his coins and asked that I share his message of hope, and he said “if I can do it anyone can do it”… 😜🙌👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️

Recovery is possible, it’s a choice…. It can be messy, and can be painful at times (when we face a life time of bad choices) but it is so worth it….

We celebrate Derek and so many more today that have chosen a new life.❤️❤️❤️

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If you see Derek around town give him a high five or a hug, and please congratulate him- he loves saying hi to people 🙌👏🏻❤️

🚨 PLEASE PRAY 🚨

Today, I witnessed a miracle happen right before my eyes…. 😍🤯🙌

As I drove down the highway in the mighty duramax (“big dirty” she is still covered in fire retardant from the last mission)-I looked beside me at the frail, malnourished - drug addicted man gasping for air on the verge of overdose, and I prayed all the way for him from Abbotsford to creek side detox in Surrey where he JUST WALKED THROUGH THE DOORS (after I woke him up). 🙌👏🏻❤️❤️

This man that sat beside me, I’ve had the pleasure of working with for 45 days and the staff at lookout (high five to them❤️) have kept him alive and have helped so much up to today-his detox date.. TEAM WORK 🙌🫶🏼❤️

The drugs have brought him within inches of his life-literally, he’s no more then 85 lbs, and can’t stand up straight anymore and has almost completely lost all hope…. BUT GOD!!!

This guy has meditated on the Lord and knew Him previously, and had a great life, and then Satan came in and tried to destroy everything about him…. And then he said to me 45 days ago… “Joseph, I want my life back, I want my walk back, and I want to live again”😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻🙌🙌👏🏻🙌🙌

Today, he ate his last meal of straight candy, and had his last hoot of fentanyl, and chose to turn his back on this life and give his heart and life over to the Lord to mould and shape for His Glory. Today-He chose life!! ❤️

Please pray for this young man that he will stay focussed, and that He will draw his strength from the Lord and allow the miracles to continue to happen ❤️

“Blessed be the name of the Lord”

““Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains. Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron. Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins. They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.”

UPDATE-SUMMERLAND FIRE- Faulder, Meadow valley.

When you wake up to a text message that reads “Are you still in the valley? 2 more fires 🔥🔥 at Darke lake”…. That gets your blood pumping and adrenaline spiking🙌. We jumped in the mighty duramax (“BIG DIRTY”) and off we went with 1000 litres of water, pumps and hoses to find Steve and put out some fires with him 💪🏻… fortunately for us- the helicopters spotted the fire and radio’d the ground crews to come, we didn’t have enough hose to even reach this one …

This weekend has been quite adventurous to say the least but we managed to slow down enough to see God moving… ❤️

We headed up Thursday night with a truck load of new pumps, hoses, generators and lots more gear and food to help the locals with their efforts to stay in place and thrive.

I brought my beautiful wife (Jennifer) with me this time, and watched the Glory of the Lord shake her all weekend and draw her heart close to His…

We spent time with Dave (the only resident left in Faulder) and as I sat with him, the smell of the fire is overwhelming, burnt trees crashing down around and the wind blowing ash through the air…we talked about how he is going to help the community rebuild ❤️💪🏻❤️ We made sure he was set up with his new fire pump, hoses, cooking station and other items, and then went to visit and hear some gut-wrenching stories of other locals and the experiences they have had trying to protect their homes and now stay in them without being arrested.

We sat with a man on his property where his mother lived, the house burnt to the ground and all that was left was ashes, stone from the chimney and the metal roof that once protected the precious lives that lived in it… we learned that his dad passed away 6 days before the fires rushed through and now his senior mother has no material items left but she holds onto the true value of her family members that survived the fires of faulder… they will rebuild ❤️

Last week the trip was a busy time of making sure that people had food, animals in Faulder were fed, fuel deliveries, wellness checks and putting out fires…

This time in meadow valley we put out hot spots, brought resources to people, and made a point of slowing down and spending time with folks still in shock, to hear their hearts and the trauma they went through, and try to share some hope and encouragement where we could. Dave and the folks living up top past faulder feel forgotten as there lives have been flippped upside down and now it’s very difficult to even move without permits being issued-AND THEY HAVE DECLINED 95% of the folks I’ve talked to… I personally spent 2 weeks up there and have witnessed zero wellness checks done by any disaster relief agencies or even head counts-we did all this-the government failed this area big time… lots of fire men, but nothing else…. Nothing… no fuel for generators, no food, nothing…

But none the less…We saw the Lord work in many situations, but the most valuable and tangible thing i’m holding onto is the work done in our own hearts and lives…

Last week I had a super natural encounter with the Lord as the fires were surrounding the farm, choppers flying and bucketing water, smoke so thick you can’t swallow properly-and the Lord said “get in that water Joseph, you have some healing to do” so I did….

Yesterday after my wife being chiseled, honed and sharpened all weekend by the hand and heart of God, we were walking to the truck to say good bye one more time (to our extended family), and wham…. The Spirit moved again… into the water she went with Denise, opened her heart to the Lord and sealed the covenant with her Father…. Baptized with water, washed in the spirit and sanctified with His blood.

We started to turn our eyes from seeing the death and destruction all around us in faulder, and started seeing the new growth already, the grass, the asparagus in Dave’s garden 😍🤣👏🏻❤️ and we could see the hope that the community has to rebuild, and the strength they all share together ❤️❤️

Thank you Faulder & meadow valley for showing us all how strong a community can be together, especially when the government turns their backs on you-but you have proven your strength in the face of adversities. Well done folks… well done 🙌🫶🏼👏🏻❤️❤️

And thank you to everyone who donated through the GZM page and helped us get resources to this area ❤️🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼❤️

I share all these experiences and updates with you guys from my perspective because there is a message in all of this…

There is a peace that transcends all understanding when you are sheltered in the most high, and standing in the shadow of the almighty… I’ve seen it, I felt it, and want others to taste and see that it is good. ❤️

As I pause and reflect on the last 10 days up in summerland, my heart is filled with gratitude and thankfulness to our amazing team of volunteers, friends and family that have kept things moving here in my absence.

Last week, Karen and Andrianne from our “barber team” joined the community outreach at the MCC parking lot to spread encouragement, love, smiles-and give some awesome haircuts.

Through the week my brother Mike, neighbour Brandon, my beautiful wife Jennifer and her daughter Carlie have been keeping the food recovery organized, sorted and moving forward…

Ron, Ryan and my beautiful wife have lead the community outreaches and made sure the camps got fed and encouraged to reach out when they are ready to make a change…mark, Janis, Arthur, Helene, Frank, Carlie, and Mika showed up to hand out meals and spread some love while pastor Laurie encouraged and loved our team while holding them up in prayer❤️

It’s all team work, and it’s not for my vision-it’s to be the body of Christ and step in where needed and make sure the heart of our father and the message of redemption-through Jesus, is carried to those lost and hurting - this is the vision, and we all hold it together ❤️

A huge shout out to everyone that has stepped up and helped out-THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️❤️
