Congratulations to Fire Chief Lokesh! 👏👏

By the end of September, all Ajax schools were provided with ballots to complete a poster in order to be our Fire Chief for the Day! 🧑🏽‍🚒👩🏾‍🚒👨🏿‍🚒 Out of all the students who entered, Lokesh had a great entry with reminders for families (swipe to see it!) on the poster he created 📝 We all need to remember to Be Prepared Today, Be Safe Tomorrow! 🙌

Chief Lokesh got to run a fire drill at his school, then he hitched a ride in the fire truck to Fire Headquarters, Town Hall, and McDonalds 🔥 He even got to approve the Chief’s day off! ✅

We greatly appreciate our community sponsors for help in making this happen! ♥️ Thank you, McDonalds and Canadian Tire for your donations and efforts to make this an incredible experience 🙌👏

We wish Lokesh and his family all the best on their future endeavours! 👏
Do you know someone in grades 3-6 in Ajax? Next year, they can have a chance for this exciting opportunity! ‼️

🌊 National Drowning Prevention Week – Reminders

Being Water Smart starts with making simple choices that help keep everyone safe around the water.

🏖️ Choose to swim where lifeguards are on duty. Lifeguards help make swimming safer, but children should always be actively supervised and kept within arm's reach. Follow posted rules and listen to the lifeguards—they're there to help everyone enjoy the water safely.

🛟 Wear your lifejacket every time you're on the water. Whether you're boating, kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding, a properly fitted lifejacket is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and your loved ones. Just like a seatbelt, it only works when you wear it.

This summer, make water safety part of every adventure. Small choices can help create safe, enjoyable memories for everyone.
