We are hitting the beautiful fairways at
**Lakeridge Links & Whispering Ridge Golf Club* **Tuesday, July 21, 2026**,

and it’s going to be a phenomenal day of community, networking, and giving back.

Every single swing we take helps support some truly vital causes close to our hearts:

Some moments completely stop you in your tracks and remind you exactly why we do this work. 🛑❤️ That was me today, sitting in the room for the WoodGreen Homeward Bound graduation.

If you don't know about Homeward Bound, it is a life-changing four-year program here in Toronto that supports single mothers transitioning out of unstable housing and poverty. It wraps them in a complete support system from housing and childcare to mental health resources so they can earn college diplomas, launch meaningful careers, and achieve financial independence.

Just picture the sheer grit it takes to juggle motherhood, late-night studying, and life's heavy hurdles all at once. 🎓✨

It wasn’t just a graduation ceremony; it was a room overflowing with pure joy, resilience, and generational triumph. 🥹

It’s a beautiful reminder that when we invest in women, we aren’t just changing a single life—we are altering family legacies forever. These graduates are walking proof of what happens when determination meets a real community support system. I could not be prouder to have been there to cheer them on! 🖤

I love those days where you set out with no plans, just letting your feet carry you through Toronto. You think you know a city you walk the same streets, pass the same corners and then, out of nowhere, you stumble onto something that completely stops you in your tracks. 🛑✨

That happened to me today on King Street joy that I know the streets well but I stopped to read this Heritage Toronto plaque, and honestly, it gave me goosebumps.

I had no idea that right here, back in 1969, a jazz musician (Archie Alleyne), two Toronto Argonauts football players (John Henry Jackson and Dave Mann), and a restaurateur (Howard Matthews) came together to open *The Underground Railroad* restaurant.
It was one of the city's very first Black-owned and operated soul food spots.

Just close your eyes and picture it for a second: the smell of fried chicken, cornbread, and collard greens filling the air. It wasn't just a place to eat; it was a whole vibe. Over its 20-year run, it became this magnetic cultural hub where locals rubbed shoulders with icons like Stevie Wonder, Dizzy Gillespie, and Magic Johnson.

But what really caught my heart wasn't just the star-studded guest list. It was why they did it. They named it after the historical Underground Railroad to honor the system of secret routes that brought people to freedom in Canada. And the owners didn't just serve food, they served the community.
They sponsored essay contests for youth, fed people in need, and acted as a pillar of support during Caribana.It closed its doors for good around 1990.

It’s a beautiful reminder that the places we walk past every single day are built on the dreams, joy, and resilience of the people who came before us. Next time you're out wandering, take a second to look up, look around, and read the signs. You never know what beautiful story is waiting to find

McHappy Day is finally here, and the energy at the 135 Kingston Road McDonald’s is absolutely electric! There is nothing quite like seeing the community come together to support such an incredible cause.

Taking the seat at Queen’s Park as Speaker for the mock Parliament was such an incredible experience! There is something so powerful about seeing the next generation of leaders step into these roles with so much passion and vision. 🏛️✨

The energy from these students was contagious, and it was an absolute honor to help guide the debate and witness democracy in action. Our future is looking very bright!
