🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE – WATER LINE RUPTURE – PINE CRES. AREA 🚨

Due to a water line rupture in the area of Pine Cres., residents may experience low water pressure and/or discoloured water. Town crews are currently on site completing repairs.

It is not uncommon during repairs of this nature for a yellow, brown, or reddish tint to appear in the water.

If you experience discoloured water:

• Run cold water for several minutes to allow fresh water to move through your plumbing.
• In some cases, slight discolouration may remain for a few hours. This affects the appearance of the water only and does not impact water quality.
• Avoid washing laundry until the water runs clear. When it does clear, it is recommended to wash a load of dark clothing first.
• Hot water tanks may continue to hold discoloured water after the cold water clears. Running your hot water for several minutes may help flush the system.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while crews complete the repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

Pre-registration is appreciated.
