Hi Folks!

Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

2026 will be a brand new start to the NDP representation in our district. 😊

I am currently looking for folks who are interested in joining a District Association for Baie Verte - Green Bay.
Being a part of this group will keep you informed and connected to fellow NDP supporters, and give opportunities for us to raise awareness that we have a presence here, and explain exactly what we’re all about.
You can be involved as little or as much as you’d like. No expectations, just a safe space to come connect and learn.

I am located in Springdale, but members can be from anywhere in the district and can join virtually for meetings. 😊

What an experience!

Running in this election for the Newfoundland and Labrador NDP was such a rewarding journey. I’m so proud of myself for taking this leap and so thankful for everyone who supported me — from the kind donations to the incredible folks who helped along the way.

It was an honour to be part of Jim Dinn’s team and to stand alongside others who truly believe in a better future for Newfoundland and Labrador.

When I decided to run back in July, it was mostly just to make sure people had an NDP option on the ballot. But the encouragement I received pushed me to work even harder. I managed to get 50 signs with the donations I had, and put them up across the district — all while running my business full time! It wasn’t easy, but it was worth every minute.

Next time, I’ll be even more prepared. I’m planning to start a District Association so we can build a strong team ready for the next election. Because people are ready for change — and real change takes time.

Onward and upward! 🧡✊

I’ve been asked quite a lot, what my priorities are for our district should I be elected.

While there are very clear, very obvious priorities, like healthcare, affordability, housing, education and so many more, my priority starts at the beginning.

My number one priority is to listen. To make sure that every constituent feels heard, understood, and valued. While I do have priorities in mind, it’s important to me to be mindful that my priorities do not necessarily equal YOUR priorities. My priorities may come from my point of view, and it would be narrow minded of me to assume that my point of view is what’s best for all the constituents in all of the communities within our district.

A successful MHA isn’t based on an individuals accolades. It’s based on the individuals ability to amplify the voices in the communities, and ensure there is an avenue for the constituents to bring their concerns forward, and have those concerns addressed.

One thing that I think we have lost sight of over the years of going back and forth between the same governments, is that the root of politics is policies that work for the people. Not power that works for the privileged.

The NDP has proven time and again that we are the party for the people. Each and every policy put in place is for every day people to be able to thrive, because in order to have a thriving district - a thriving province - we have to have thriving communities and thriving individuals.

We’re all in this together, and I would be delighted to help lead us forward. 🧡

I have learned SO much from Alisha, and getting to chat with her and Nathan again yesterday was no different.
It’s so important to me for voices like theirs to be not only heard, but amplified.
The power of building community through accessibility cannot be underestimated!

It was lovely getting to continue the conversation about Newfoundlanders and Labradorians with disabilities. Thank you for yet again meeting with us, getting to know the issues and the people it affects. We’re greatful for your commitment to understand a listen to what your constituents are experiencing!
