Well-being North Hastings

Temperatures are dropping and the need is rising. In past years, North Hastings and Bancroft residents have been able to receive this support from SIRCH Community Services. Often, the largest share of donations received comes our way! Drop donations off locally at the Sirch Thrift Warehouse - Bancroft

Thanks to Inclusive Realty and the BBIA - Bancroft Business Improvement Area for hosting, recording and sharing this debate for people seeking to be elected to council for the Town of Bancroft.
Many social services for all of North Hastings are located in Bancroft so knowing the ideas of candidates is important for all northern residents, even if they do not live in Bancroft.

Great news! Bravo Limerick!
North Hastings Community Cupboard serves people in and around Bancroft but also supplies food banks in our other smaller communities. Coordination and mutual support is the best approach we can all take in tough times.

Another municipality has answered the challenge!

The Town of Bancroft is pleased to announce that Limerick Township has officially accepted the Moose-Sized Mayor's Challenge, contributing $200 in support of the North Hastings Community Cupboard

Every contribution helps strengthen local food security and demonstrates the power of municipalities working together to support residents across our region.

Thank you to Mayor Carson and Limerick Township Council for stepping up and joining this community-wide effort.

Current Challenge Standings

Faraday Township – $500
Limerick Township – $200

Now attention turns to the remaining and we believe more will accept this challenge.

The challenge is gaining momentum.

The question remains:
Who's next to meet the challenge?

Together, we're proving that when neighbouring municipalities work together, we can make a meaningful difference for families throughout North Hastings.

As ths day draws to a close and the night is cold and windy, resolve to ask those in power at all levels of government how we can work to end or even reduce the numbers of people in our own community who do not have a home.
