Call for Two-Spirit, trans, and gender diverse (2S/TGD) youth! CARE Lab is looking to recruit 6-8 2S/TGD youth across Canada to serve on their youth community advisory board (YCAB)! YCAB members will help support their upcoming study about substance use.

Eligibility requirements:
• 15-25 years old
• Live in Canada
• Identify as 2S/TGD
• Be able to attend 3 virtual meetings per year
• Be able to commit to at least one year of engagement in this role.

This opportunity is paid. YCAB members will receive an honorarium for their time.

Matter Q***r Space Manitoba Inc. (Matter) is thrilled to invite you to our 'Wiidabimishin: Sit Beside Me' Two-Spirit Drag Show—an evening to celebrate Two-Spirit art through drag, story, and connection.

Hosted by Anita Stallion and featuring performances from an incredible line-up of local, Two-Spirit drag performers, this is more than a drag show; it’s an invitation to sit beside us, learn where we come from, and discover how our Ancestral knowledge systems help us heal through creative expression.

Time: Show 7pm | Doors 6pm
Location: West End Cultural Centre (586 Ellice Ave, Winnipeg, MB)

What a fabulous way to end off our second Pride season! Whitemouth Pride was absolutely perfect, from the venue to the weather to the people that joined us. Thank you so much to Trans Manitoba for joining us, and Dene Guillas for once again reminding us why these events are so important and needed (and for kicking off an impromptu sharing circle that was so beautiful 🥰). We're already planning for Pride 2027, stay tuned! And don't miss the Pride events that are coming up in MB communities in September (Steinbach and Neepawa)!

We sent ours!

The Tim Hortons Harry Potter campaign launched today. Friendly reminder that any support of Harry Potter is support of JK Rowling and her transphobia. Therefore, Tim's cares more about potential profits than trans rights and trans lives. 🏳️‍⚧️

I'll be boycotting them even after their little promotional is over. But even more than a boycott, we need to keep writing them. Make it clear that trans rights are non negotiable. No author, celebrity, company, or series is more important than trans lives. 🏳️‍⚧️

Affirming Connections has developed a helpful toolkit and email template. Please use and share it. Tell your friends and family. Raise awareness. Stand with your trans loved ones. 🏳️‍⚧️

What a beautiful day at Victoria Beach Pride last weekend!

A huge thank you to the Victoria Beach Club for co-hosting and supporting this wonderful celebration, and to the local Mayor and Councillor for joining us and showing their support for 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion in their community.

A special shout-out to Jess and the amazing folks who created such a fantastic craft table, it was such a fun and welcoming part of the day!

We were also honoured to have Trans Manitoba and Dene Guillas join us as special guests and share their voices, experiences, and messages of hope. Thank you for helping make the day so meaningful.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out ❤️. Whether you joined for a few minutes, took part in the activities, shared a conversation, or simply showed up in support. Community is what makes Pride so special.

With beautiful weather, wonderful people, and so much joy, it was a perfect day to celebrate love, inclusion, and belonging.

Thank you, Victoria Beach, for showing up and showing your Pride! We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🌈
