what is the difference between Govt consultants and Indigenous Consultants such as I ? there are many of us across Canada, we struggle to make ends meet. it is 10 times harder to get work as an indigenous Consultant, especially when you are strapped with finances and located kilometers away from a major service centre
to top it off, the Indigenous Organizations are limited with funds as well. Now, Govts can sell their programs and services, subject to professional advice from Govt selected Consultants. Here is the big difference: Indigenous consultants are not recognized by Govts, however the knowledge base is what they posses, Govt programs and services do not allow Indigenous approaches such as Nation Building, if at all Govt pronounces Nation Building it is only mentioned as such for good political images and there is no practicalities involved. as Indigenous consultants we know what needs to be done and how much it will cost, we also know how to curve those status quos of policies designed to have every Organization fail. be prepared to accept the harsh reality of change when you call upon a real Indigenous Consultant as always, " hard work and hard truth will outweigh the cost and harsh reality calls by the Indigenous Consultant. paste and copy this to your contacts please and get work done for the betterment of all....

It was a privilege and honor to have assisted the Moricetown Band Council by facilitating a process to start their work as a newly elected Council for the Moricetown Band. the process included: setting their sights of a common vision, mission, and restoring traditional values. a process of revitalizing Moricetown's nationhood were discussed with key areas such as: language, culture, and restoring the traditional attributes as transcended by the Ancestoral visions from the past. most importantly, putting the vision, mission, values, and strategic challenges, strategic directions, strategic priorities, and strategic opportunities on paper is what transpired. Action was intended therefore following the Strategic planning document, an operational planning document was developed. the Moricetown Band Council is a progressive group of individuals who have great aspirations and compassion for Moricetown. It was very productive. Thank you Chief Duane Mitchell and Council. Thank you Lucy Gagnon, Executive Director and staff...this opportunity was fullfiling
