NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
issued by the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board

A Notice of Public Hearing has been issued by the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board (NSRAB) to hear an appeal made by Marco Ferro and Lloyd's Landing Limited for a decision by the Municipality of Chester Council to refuse a development agreement application. The application was for 249 single-unit dwellings at East River Village (PIDs 60064078 and 60677168).

The Hearing will be held by the NSRAB on Tuesday, December 8 at 9:30 a.m. in Council Chambers located at 151 King Street in Chester. If necessary, the Hearing will continue on Wednesday, December 9. There will be an evening session on Tuesday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m.

This Hearing is open to the public, and residents can participate in these ways:

- Speak at the Hearing - notify the Board by Friday, November 13

The Seniors Association of St. Margaret’s Bay is receiving $7,620 through the Age-Friendly Communities Fund to support its Supporting the Health and Wellness of St. Margaret’s Bay Seniors Campaign.

The work of the Seniors Association makes a huge impact on local residents. I’m proud to see this funding supporting two senior-designed programs, including weekly line dancing and group food preparation and preservation. These programs will help promote physical activity, nutrition, and social connection for seniors in our community.

Through the Age-Friendly Communities Fund, 44 organizations across Nova Scotia received funding totalling more than $389,000. Applications for the next round of grants are now open until November 19.
