Coquitlam has been named a BC Hydro Power Smart Champion in recognition of the City’s Energy Management Program and broader climate action efforts. Not only is Mundy Park Pool a fantastic amenity in a beautiful setting, it demontstrates leadership in energy efficiency, corporate greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and the adoption of innovative clean energy technologies.

I am grateful for everyone who had a hand in making this happen!

It was such a pleasure to attend the North Road K-Food Festival at the City of Lougheed on Saturday! From embracing the beautiful hanbok experience, to being interviewed by Korean News and KTV, to taking part in the opening ceremony, it was a wonderful celebration of Korean food, culture and community.

It was such an honour to be invited to yesterday’s AGM luncheon for ACT 2 Child and Family Services.

I enjoyed catching up with many difference-making members of our community and hearing from MLA Blatherwick, Carol Todd and ACT 2 Board President, Polly Krier.

For 46 years, ACT 2 has been helping children, youth and families heal, build resilience and move forward with hope. Learning more about the important work being done every day by the entire ACT 2 team was both moving and inspiring.

Congratulations to the entire ACT 2 team on 46 remarkable years of transforming trauma into hope. Thank you for all you do for individuals and families in our community. 💜

I always enjoy putting on my “Habitat Helper” hat and volunteering with the Burke Mountain Naturalists at events through the City’s aptly named Bad Seed program! 🌱

Today we tackled invasive Himalayan blackberry along Smiling Creek on Burke Mountain. We dug, pulled and cleared to help restore the area’s natural habitat and give native plants a better chance to thrive. A sincere thank you to everyone involved! 🪏🍃🌱💚 City of Coquitlam

Last week I joined in to help celebrate the opening of MP Zoe Royer’s constituency office. It was a fabulous Open House and terrific to connect with so many people in our community. It’s been over a week since I announced that I’m seeking re-election to Coquitlam City Council, and I’m incredibly grateful for the messages, encouragement and offers of support I’ve received.💚
Now I have a little campaign challenge for you!

Like most candidates, asking for financial contributions isn’t my favourite part of campaigning but campaigns are powered by the people who believe in them. Under election rules, campaign expenses need to be supported by contributions from eligible community members, and every donation, big or small, helps.

So here’s my goal: 100 supporters × $20 = $2,000.

That would cover half the postage cost of getting my campaign brochure into homes across Coquitlam - helping me share directly with residents what I've been hearing and my thoughts and priorities for keeping our city's momentum moving forward.
