It’s official - EPIC 979 opens in Cumberland, BC.

Expanding what's possible in a working forest, Cumberland's newest backcountry-style loop introduces long alpine descents, high-speed loam, and technical rock rolls.

New Trail Alert: The EPIC 979 is OPEN.
Years of planning, approvals, mapping, machine work, hand building, bridge construction, volunteer hours, partnerships, grit, and determination now lead to this moment.
The Epic 979 officially opens June 6 and introduces one of the biggest and most ambitious trail projects ever undertaken within the Cumberland trail network.
Climbing to 979 metres through deep forest and ever-changing terrain, The Epic delivers a raw backcountry-style riding experience unlike anything else in Cumberland. Steep terrain, remote sections, technical riding, natural features, and four very different ending options combine to create a true all-day adventure ride.
This is not your average trail ride.
Plan ahead. Leave enough time in the day. Carry tools, supplies, and be prepared for changing conditions and the unexpected. Every line fully earns its Black Diamond designation or higher, and every part of the experience earns the name Epic.
The Epic book and printed maps are now available in local bike shops, and the full Trailforks routes are now live. Riders who complete all four Epic routes and collect all four Trailforks badges can contact UROC to receive the full Epic sticker collection.
Huge thanks to our trail crew, volunteers, members, contractors, supporters, and our land access partners at Mosaic Forest Management, Manulife Investment Management, and the Village of Cumberland for helping make projects like this possible.
Now go experience The Epic 979.

New Trail Alert: OKEY DOKEY IS OPEN.
A brand new climbing and connector line joins the Cumberland network.
Okey Dokey is built to get riders up to the back of the network toward Furtherburger (while bypassing Grunt and Grind) and out to the back mountains efficiently while still delivering the kind of experience Cumberland trail users expect - the Okey Dokey section of forest is nothing short of beautiful.
Designed to improve access deeper into the network and get you to the Epic979 climb trail with some gas in the tank! Okey Dokey provides new connections, fresh ride options, and another way to get to surrounding trails. You’ ll find Okey Dokey about 100m further along the road that is the entrance to Mumbo Jumbo. Okey Dokey delivers you to the upper mid point of FurtherBurger. There’s no bridges on this trail and the climb is a gradual and steady experience.
Like every trail in Cumberland, this one comes from an enormous amount of effort from builders, volunteers, machinery operators, supporters, and land access partners working together to create and maintain world-class riding experiences within a working forest.
Fresh trails take time to settle in, so ride smart, respect conditions, and help the trail bed in properly over the coming weeks.
Huge thanks to our members, volunteers, trail crew, and our ongoing partners at Mosaic Forest Management, Manulife Investment Management, and the Village of Cumberland for continuing to make projects like this possible.
Now go pedal it.
