The United Riders of Cumberland is a registered Non Profit Society that promotes and supports the local Mountain Bike Community in the Comox Valley. Through trail advocacy, volunteerism, promotion of the sport and fundraising, The United Riders of Cumberland are able to encourage participation for all as well as maintain and build the local trail infrastructure.

GRAVITY NINES 2026 – THAT’S A WRAP! 🤘

This year’s Gravity Nines saw 75 entries, with almost everyone completing the full route! Over half of all participants tackled all nine trails in a single day, and around 90% of entries were on acoustic bikes. That’s some serious riding!

🏆 And the winners are…

🥇 Gravity Nines Overall Winner: Avallee takes home a six-pack ski pass from Mount Washington Alpine Resort.

⚡ Nine-in-One Challenge Winner: kcinjordan takes home a six-pack ski pass from Mount Washington Alpine Resort AND a set of Race Face Turbine 30 wheels!

🔋 E-Bike Division Winner: Pasc81 wins a pair of Kona Wah Wah 2 pedals, sponsored by Comox Bike Co.

GRAVITY NINES is LIVE and dozens of folks have signed up, get in it to win it!
There’s 6 days left until closing at sun down on Wednesday, Oct 21st.
This year you have a combination of descents, with punchy climbs in-between to make up the nine lines and achieve the challenge. When you ride all nine lines you will collect the Gravity Nines Trailforks badge winning you a place in the draw for a MW 6ixPak ski pass valued at $629.
If you are an absolute weapon and want to crush all nine lines in ONE DAY you will earn an extra badge, called the ‘9 in 1’ and you’ll be entered in an extra draw for a set of RACEFACE Turbine 30 wheels valued at $998 AND a MW 6ixPak ski pass valued at $629. If you enter the event on an e-bike and capture either badge, you’ll be in a separate draw from the acoustic bikes for some rad Kona Wah Wah II pedals sponsored by Comox Bike Co valued at $170.
Event entry is $21 for UROC members, and all proceeds go back into the trails that you’ll be riding.
You ride when you want within the 21-day event window which is live NOW and closes at sun down on Oct 21st . This event includes mostly Double black diamond & Black diamond trails of which some trails include significant features such as jumps, drops, and technical steeps. Ride within your ability, scope out the features before hitting them (or not) and don’t take chances, this is not a timed race, you just have to complete the trails and capture the badges.

The Green Room fresh hop IPA brewed by Ace brewing.

For the third year in a row, we’re super stoked to celebrate the latest collaboration between Ace Brewing, Shorewolf Farm and the United Riders of Cumberland. A fresh hop pale ale called "The Green Room" in honour of the lush, green forests and our incredible trail network we're so lucky to enjoy.

Brewed with fresh hops from Shorewolf Farms in Black Creek, this b**r is as local and vibrant as it gets. The hops were harvested and within hours, were in the brew process to lock in the bold, fresh flavours making this a true celebration of local excellence.

For every can or pint sold, $1 goes directly to UROC to support our local trail network.

Mosaic Forest Management wishes to advise users of the area shown above that road re-construction (dotted green line ) will commence on our private lands on October 6th, Fall season, 2026. For the public’s safety, we ask that you avoid this area while
active operations are underway. General hours of operation are Monday to Friday 5am to 5pm. For your safety, please respect all signage during these times, do not enter active areas and yield to industrial traffic. Activities are expected to be underway for approximately 1 week (weather dependent). Expect industrial traffic anywhere along the
Trent Main and TRM600 (adjacent to the Mosaic Hut).
