Saturday in Hanley we took in the Hanley Chore Team Rodeo and saw some majestic animals work their way through some challenging sets of maneuvers… was incredible to see how each cowboy and cowgirl worked in sync with their team of horses! Great job Hanley in hosting another great community event!

The Annual fundraising event for Sask Auto Dealers Association to raise money for Camp Easter Seals… was also great to hear how the Distance Learning Centre (DLC) had some of their students involved in career work placement program, speak about their work experience in the auto industry and how they are being prepared for the trades!

Mining Week:

Saskatchewan's mining industry drives economic growth and is a strong supporter of communities across our province. Our world-class potash and uranium industries continue to deliver strong results, while growth in emerging minerals is helping position Saskatchewan as a global critical minerals powerhouse.

CANADA SAID YES. 🇨🇦🎖️

Six years. Thousands of hours. 66,000 emails. Seven unanimous provincial legislatures. The Senate. ACVA. 109 veterans organizations. Generals. Admirals. Silver Cross mothers. Wounded veterans. Canadians from every corner of this country. Here is the speech.

« Mr. Speaker, honouring bravery and sacrifice in service to Canada is among our government’s most solemn responsibilities. We are profoundly grateful to all those who have served, and who continue to serve, our country.
Military honours, including Canada’s Victoria Cross, are subject to a thorough and rigorous review process by the Canadian Armed Forces.
I can confirm that the government agrees to the establishment of an Independent Military Honours Review Board to review Afghanistan veteran’s cases where new evidence may suggest that the criteria for the Victoria Cross may have been met.
I look forward to providing further updates to this House in due course. »

And today — May 29th, 2026 — Parliamentary Secretary Sherry Ramanado rose in the House of Commons and delivered the words we have been fighting six years to hear.

The Government of Canada agrees to the establishment of an Independent Military Honours Review Board.

She said yes.

We are grateful. We are moved. And we are honest.

The response today specifically references Afghanistan veterans’ cases where new evidence may suggest Victoria Cross criteria were met. We hear that. We note it. And we want to be clear — our work is not finished.

Today we acknowledge what was achieved.

To the 68,000 Canadians who took 60 seconds — you changed history.
To the seven provinces — you made this impossible to ignore.
To General Hillier, Admiral Norman, General Dallaire, General MacKenzie and every Task Force Commander — your credibility made this real.
To MP Pauline Rochefort — you said yes when everyone else said wait.
To MP Blake Richards — you never stopped fighting.
To Anna. To Andrew. To Jess’s 94 year old grandfather in that New Brunswick gallery yesterday.

This is for Jess.

It has always been for Jess.

The board must be established. We will be watching every single step.

But today — we breathe. 🇨🇦🎖️🍁

There is no better place in Canada for young people to start a business than right here in Saskatchewan. This bursary is supporting young business owners as they grow their ventures and contribute to their local economies and communities. Young entrepreneurs are the future of our province, and our government is proud to support them as they build that future here at home.

Report from the Legislature
May 27, 2026

The Spring Sitting of the Second Session of the Thirtieth Legislature concluded on May 14, 2026. Our government advanced key priorities focused on protecting Saskatchewan through affordability, health care, community safety, education, and economic growth. Throughout this sitting, we remained focused on keeping life affordable for Saskatchewan families while supporting a strong and resilient provincial economy. This year’s budget reflects this approach, with investments strengthening programs and services, supporting communities, and ensuring Saskatchewan remains well-positioned for the future. The 2026-27 provincial budget is available online at www.budget.saskatchewan.ca.

We also saw the passage of several important pieces of legislation introduced in the fall sitting, advancing commitments made in the Throne Speech. These included The Compassionate Intervention Act, which creates a pathway for families, law enforcement, and the courts to initiate treatment supports for individuals unable to seek help on their own; The Building Schools Faster Act, which improves processes for timely school construction with municipalities; The Saskatchewan Fi****ms Amendment Act, which strengthens provincial protections for law-abiding fi****ms owners in relation to federally directed fi****ms policies; and The Saskatchewan Internal Trade Promotion Act, which reduces interprovincial trade barriers and supports economic growth.

Also included were The Tailgating Act, which enables tailgating events prior to Saskatchewan Roughriders games and other major events; The Cyberstalking and Coercive Control Act, which strengthens protections for victims of interpersonal violence; and The Heritage Recognition (From Many Peoples, Strength) Act, which establishes a framework to recognize Saskatchewan’s cultural and heritage observances.

Additional measures included The Municipalities Modernization and Red Tape Reduction Act, which reduces administrative duplication and streamlines municipal processes; The Response to Illicit Drugs Act, which strengthens tools to address drug-related crime and enhances accountability; and The Income Tax Amendment Act, which doubles the volunteer first responders tax credit to support community responders.

Our government’s priorities were guided by the Throne Speech and the 2024 election commitments, and we are pleased to have delivered on all our promises. With a continued focus on protecting Saskatchewan and supporting long-term growth for the benefit of everyone who calls our province home, we will continue to be out in communities. We look forward to engaging with residents, local organizations and businesses and to listening to how we can best support the needs of Saskatchewan people.

Moving into the summer months, Saskatchewan’s provincial parks are now open across the province, welcoming residents and visitors for another season of outdoor recreation. Our government is pleased to see preparations completed for campsites and trails, and we thank all staff who have worked hard to ensure parks are ready for visitors. A full slate of programming and seasonal events is also available and can be explored on the Sask Parks website under the event calendar at www.saskparks.com.

Serving the people of Saskatchewan and representing my constituency is a privilege I do not take for granted. Thank you for your support and for the trust you place in us to move our province forward. I look forward to continuing this work alongside you, focused on the priorities that matter most to our communities.
