After being sworn in on December 1st 2014, I was appointed to the following committee's, portfolios and boards:

Personnel Committee Chair:
Reporting to the Regional Council, this committee will work collaboratively with Administration on personnel issues such as collective bargaining, labour relations, recruitment strategies and remuneration. Alternate to the Tourism & Parks Portfolio Environm

ent Portfolio:
The tourism portfolio will pertain to all matters related to tourism, as well as regional & provincial parks and protected areas. It engages in and monitors planning processes and issues related to land use and resource & wildlife management in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality; including the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area and regional parks. The portfolio is the liaison to BC Parks, pre-tenure planning processes, and other relevant agencies, organizations and government agencies. The environment portfolio monitors all environmental issues that may affect the regional municipality, such as climate change, air quality, land use, recycling initiatives and other like conditions. Transportation and Air Services Portfolio:
The transportation services portfolio concerns itself with air, rail, river and ground transportation to and from the area. It acts as the liaison with airlines providing regular flights to Fort Nelson, charter air carriers, CN Rail, barging services, Greyhound, and other transportation providers. A focal point of this portfolio is to monitor the status of developments on the Airport and other potential Rail Link initiatives. Member on the following boards:
Alaska Highway Community Society (formerly NRAHTA)
Fort Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce
Fort Nelson Historical Society
Alternate to the Muskwa-Kechika Advisory Board (Recommendation to MK Advisory Board)
Representative to Phoenix Theatre Society

Congratulations to the newly elected NRRM Mayor and Council; I look forward to having the chance to work with each and all of you.
