Just a reminder to those who have fire pits in Pepper Creek. You are required to obtain a burning permit (free of charge) from the Fredericton Fire Department. You must also follow all burning requirements of the province.
This also applies to the other amalgamated areas of Fredericton.

Riverside Drive

Please be aware of the upcoming construction on Riverside Drive, and prepare for delays.

Beginning Monday morning, following the peak commuter traffic period, the contractor Philson Ltd. will install the temporary traffic signals to reduce traffic to a single lane through the work zone. The signals will be located approximately in line with the entrance and exit of Wetmore's Nursery.

As this new traffic pattern is implemented, some adjustments may be required to optimize signal timing and maintain traffic flow. We ask for your patience during the first few days as the contractor monitors conditions and makes any necessary refinements.

Riverside Drive Construction.

Please take note and give yourself some extra time as you plan your daily commute.

You may have noticed an increased presence from the contractor over the past few weeks. They are preparing to begin underground infrastructure work on Monday.

Just a reminder of upcoming street closures for the Highland Games.

Queen Street will be closed on multiple occasions this weekend for the Highland Games.

Friday, July 24: Queen Street between Regent Street and Carleton Street will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 25: Queen Street between Regent Street and Carleton Street will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The road will reopen to traffic between closures.

Had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Mayor-Elect Hicks this past weekend. We shared a lot of information and ideas about how we can continue moving Fredericton forward together.

As I went door to door throughout the campaign, I heard many different thoughts and concerns from residents, including speeding, trail safety, road maintenance, lighting and crosswalks, drugs, recreational facilities, the future of the Frex, taxes, and homelessness. I would like to continue those conversations.

Now it’s time to hear more from Ward 6 residents.

Humbled to have been elected to represent Ward 6 and the city of Fredericton. It was an absolute pleasure to meet so many amazing people throughout the ward and have such great discussions about how we can move forward together.
I want to acknowledge all of the candidates who put their names forward to run. It takes courage to put yourself out there and work to make a difference in your community.
To the residents of Ward 6, thank you for your trust, support, and encouragement throughout this campaign. I will work hard every day to ensure we make meaningful progress together.
To my amazing team of friends and supporters, I will never forget your dedication, commitment, and countless hours spent helping me reach this goal. I truly could not have done it without you.
The work begins June 1st.
