Subject: CMHA-NL Awards – Workplace Excellence

On September 15, 2026, the Canadian Mental Health Association – Newfoundland and Labrador Association will be hosting its Annual General Meeting. During this meeting, we will be presenting a number of awards. Amongst these awards is the Workplace Excellence Award.

If you are aware of a workplace that demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace mental health in Newfoundland and Labrador, please share this information.

The information regarding the Workplace Excellence award is as follows:

This award recognizes an outstanding organization that has demonstrated a meaningful and sustained commitment to workplace mental health in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Eligible recipients will have implemented policies, programs, practices, or cultural initiatives that promote employee well-being, reduce stigma, foster psychological safety, and create a more inclusive and supportive workplace.

Immediate Need for Blood Donors – Grand Falls-Windsor Blood Drive August 4 & 5

Blood supply has decreased by 20% since June, and we currently have limited days on hand of several blood types. This is not sustainable for patient care. Every day, patients across Canada rely on blood donors for surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care, and other life-saving medical needs. Right now, donors of all blood types are needed. Canadian Blood Services will be hosting a mobile blood donation event in Grand Falls-Windsor:

Windsor Pentecostal Church Gymnasium
97 King Street, Grand Falls-Windsor

Tuesday, August 4
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 5
12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Appointments can be booked at blood.ca, and walk-ins are always welcome.
