It’s been a busy couple of weeks at RVS! Our Grade 4 class recently enjoyed an adventurous field trip to Klondike Park on the shores of Lac La Nonne. Their day was packed with hands-on learning, including life jacket safety, rescue drills, pond studies, fur identification, bear safety, and ecosystem exploration. We are so proud of our students for engaging so enthusiastically with the environment and building essential outdoor skills. A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make this trip such a successful and educational experience for our Grade 4 explorers!

At the end of May, our grade 6 class embarked on a fantastic 2-day adventure to Camp Warwa! It was a memorable experience filled with outdoor learning, team-building challenges, and plenty of excitement. We absolutely love visiting with our grade 6 students every year—it truly is a highlight of our school calendar that never disappoints.

It was a perfect day at the Edmonton Valley Zoo for our Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes. We ventured through the paths of the zoo to see our favorite animals, enjoyed the sunshine, and explored the exhibits together. It was such a great day for everyone, and of course, we finished it all off with a delicious ice cream treat!

The Wait is Over. Our Annual Read A-Thon begins this Friday, May 1st and runs through May 31st. Have your bookmarks ready. An information package will be coming home today for parents. Thursday was a day filled with exciting activities. We had Domino Dress Up Day, which perfectly complemented our 'Math with Me' afternoon with our families. During the assembly, the Kindergarten students delivered an outstanding performance of '5 Little Ducks', one of our favorites. Well done, young Rhinos. We would like to thank everyone who made our first ever ‘Math with Me’ such a great success. We look forward to doing it again. Have a great long weekend.
