🚨 DEVELOPING: NASA Places ISS Crew on Evacuation Alert After Air Leak Worsens 🚨

NASA temporarily ordered astronauts aboard the International Space Station to shelter inside their docked spacecraft and prepare for a possible emergency evacuation Friday after a long running air leak in the station's Russian segment suddenly worsened.

According to reports, five astronauts were instructed to enter a docked SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule and put on their spacesuits while Russian cosmonauts attempted repairs on the affected section of the station.

The leak is located in the Russian Zvezda service module, an area that has experienced cracks and air leak concerns for several years. NASA and the Russian space agency Roscosmos have reportedly disagreed in the past about the severity of the issue.

About two hours after the alert was issued, NASA lifted the shelter order and astronauts returned to normal operations while engineers continued evaluating the situation.

Officials say there is currently no immediate danger to the crew, but the incident highlights ongoing concerns about aging sections of the orbiting laboratory.

The International Space Station has been continuously occupied since 2000 and has never required a full emergency evacuation in its history.

This remains a developing story and additional updates are expected as NASA and Roscosmos continue their assessment.

👉If you had the chance to spend six months aboard the International Space Station, would you go, or would the thought of being trapped 400 km above Earth be a hard pass? 🚀

🚨 White Nationalist Demonstration Reported in Bedford

Halifax Regional Police responded after a small group linked to the white nationalist organization known as "Second Sons" staged a brief demonstration in Bedford South over the weekend.

Police say the gathering was short lived and no arrests were made. The group has been described by the Canadian Anti Hate Network as a members only organization for white men that draws inspiration from militant white nationalist movements.

Bedford South MLA Damian Stoilov condemned the demonstration, stating that hatred and racism have no place in a community known for its diversity and inclusion.

The incident has sparked renewed discussion about the visibility of extremist groups in Canada and the challenge of balancing free expression with community concerns about hate and intimidation.

What do you think communities should do when groups promoting racist or extremist ideologies hold public demonstrations?

Gary has thoughts.

Actually, Gary has exactly one thought:

Mind your business.

Gary doesn't care who you love, how you identify, or who you're holding hands with. Gary has enough going on trying to figure out why the food bowl is only 97% full.

A little more kindness. A little less judging. Gary thinks that's a pretty good plan.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈🐾

A heartbreaking story out of Atlantic Canada.

Clinton Ellison, a survivor of the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooting, has died at the age of 52.

During the tragedy in Portapique, Ellison's brother, Corrie, was killed. Clinton later found his brother's body and spent hours hiding in the woods as the violence unfolded around him. Family members say the trauma of that night never left him.

His loved ones describe a man who struggled with severe PTSD in the years that followed, saying he was profoundly changed by what he experienced.

The 2020 mass shooting claimed 22 lives and left lasting scars on survivors, families, first responders and communities across Nova Scotia. For many, the effects of that tragedy continue long after the headlines faded.

Our thoughts are with the Ellison family and everyone still carrying the weight of that terrible weekend.

👉Do you think enough long term mental health support is available for survivors of major traumatic events?
