🌳June Parks and Rec Month Tip: More trees, more shade, more benefits! Our annual tree planting program replaces removed trees and expands canopy coverage where it’s needed most. Trees create healthier communities by improving air quality, reducing asthma and allergy rates in children, and supporting better health during high-pollution days.

🌳Parks & Recreation Month tip: Trees keep High River cool!
Tree canopy can lower neighbourhood temperatures by 2 - 8°C, helping reduce heat-related health risks.
Though sometimes, shade just doesn't cut it! When you can't beat the heat, cool off by:
- Visiting the FCSS Resource Centre or another cooling station in Town.
- Splashing around at the spray park! Check hours here: https://f.mtr.cool/hudsdqrcfs
