DadConnexx is funded in Claresholm, High River, Diamond Valley, and Foothills County through Family and Community Support Services (FCSS). DadConnexx is a place where dads, uncles, grandpas or any male role model can come spend quality time with their kids. They can also meet other dads, learn about parenting and child development, as well as eat good food! There is no pressure, this is not a supp
ort group but a relaxed atmosphere just for Dads! DadConnexx is backed by Okotoks High River, Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Foothills County FCSS programs, as well as supported by the Foothills Children's Wellness Network. Wild Rose Community Connections runs the DadConnexx programs. We have three types of events. The first is our Bouncy Fun Day's which are held at the Crescent Point and HR Fieldhouse . This is drop in, open to all ages and is pure fun. There is pizza (or another tasty supper) and a bouncy castle along with a bunch of toys to play around with. DadConnexx -"On Location" is when we use community locations to hold DadConnexx events. This could be held at fire halls, bouldering, batting cages, or any other community area. DadConnexx"Break Out" is just for Dads (no kids). This is where Dads can come and learn about parenting topics that they want to know more info about. It could be how to deal with tantrums all the way up to dealing with Teenagers. These are free events that come with food and is just with Dads or any male role model. Come for the food
