More great new books arrived today. Available now!

This is an interesting one. This book arrived at the library this past summer. It was gifted to the library, by the author and had traveled via post all the way from Europe. Inside is a copy of the letter that accompanied the book, explaining a little more of why this gift was sent.
I won’t give any spoiler alerts, but well done Hughenden, for showing such kindness all those years ago…

Lindsey and I are so excited to announce this expansion of our beloved Roasted Readers book club. Roasted Readers: New Chapters.

Same club, same format, same shenanigans, books and questions curated for younger readers and yes, Espresso the Raccoon is still a part of this.

Provost Family Resource Network will be joining us for the lunch hour edition of this wonderful expansion hosted at the Hughenden Public Library.

Show this to your kiddos, get them signed up right away through the QR code on the poster or send Perk & Petal a message.

We can't wait to welcome young readers and build a love for literacy in a fun, laid back environment.

Discounted drinks will be available for students only signed up for book club. There will be no Perk & Petal service during the lunch hour on Oct 15 to serve and talk books with students.

Stories, memories, and plenty of laughs.

Joyce Helweg, a relative of mine from the North Central region of B.C., has a wonderful collection of books filled with memoir-like stories, personal anecdotes, and true-life moments that remind us that real life can be every bit as entertaining as fiction.
