The Municipal office is responsible for providing support to the Residents, Mayor and Council, Boards and Committees and other Municipal Departments. This department strives to provide
an enhanced level of customer service and is responsible for interacting with all levels of Government as well as residents, organizations and businesses within Ignace. Public Works:
The Public Works Department is responsible for the municipal infrastructure and works to ensure that essential services are continuously available in the community. This department is vital as its activities affect almost every aspect of the daily life of Ignace residents. Public Works is in charge of roads, water, sewer, ditching, waste collection and disposal, parks and beaches, cemeteries and municipal buildings. Recreation:
The Recreation Department is responsible for the development and provision of recreational programs and services; In collaboration with community groups and residents, through the planning and delivery of an array of recreational initiatives. The department strives to foster active and healthy lifestyles, encourage youth engagement, develop community leadership and strengthen community pride and identity. Ignace Fire Department:
The Ignace Fire Department is a Team of Highly Trained Dedicated Emergency Service Providers. Contributing to the well being of our community and assisting in times of need. Providing the essential services of structural and forest fire suppression. Responding to community disasters, gas emergencies, motor vehicle fires, performing vehicle extrication and assisting the Ambulance and O.P.P.
