As we wrap up another successful 4-H year, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our 2026 sponsors.

We do our very best to recognize everyone who contributes to our club. If we have inadvertently missed anyone, please know that your support is deeply appreciated and never taken for granted.

To each and every one of our sponsors and supporters: thank you for believing in our members and helping us continue the 4-H tradition of learning, leadership, community involvement, and agriculture.

Our Cleaver Program is designed as an introduction to 4-H for youth ages 6–8, giving them the opportunity to learn responsibility, confidence, animal care, and all the fun that comes with being part of a 4-H club.
This year, our Cleaver members chose to work with beef calves, and what a fantastic job they did!
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated Cleaver leaders, April Gerrard and Meghan Sparks, who make the program so enjoyable and rewarding for our youngest members. Their patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement help create an unforgettable experience for these young exhibitors.
This year’s Cleaver members were:
⭐ Wyatt Gerrard
⭐ Johanna Hoar
⭐ Boone Sparks
We would also like to recognize the generous supporters who helped make our Cleaver Program a success:
Jack Sinclair for building custom show boxes for our Cleaver members.
DV Progressive Farms for sponsoring our Grand and Reserve Champion awards.
Coulee Crest Herefords and the Radeau family for sponsoring the Best Trained Cleaver Calf award.
The Fringe for donating goodies for the Cleaver show boxes.
Thank you to our leaders, sponsors, families, and supporters for helping create such a positive first 4-H experience for our youngest members. We can’t wait to see where their 4-H journeys take them!April Gerrard Meghan Sparks Coulee Crest Farm Larissa Schaefer

A Special Thank You to S4 Branding Co. & Nicki Ross

Behind every successful show and sale is a team of people working tirelessly behind the scenes, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to S4 Branding Co. and Nicki Ross for their incredible support of our club.

From creating our banners, organizing prizes, capturing photos throughout Achievement Day, and coordinating our online sale platform through IAM Online, Nicki played a huge role in helping our year-end events run smoothly and professionally.

We are also incredibly grateful for their generous donation of club hoodies for each of our members. The hoodies were a wonderful surprise and are something our members will proudly wear for years to come.

In addition, S4 Branding Co. was a proud sponsor of our Senior Showmanship Division, helping us recognize the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of our senior members.

Your generosity, hard work, and commitment to supporting youth in agriculture do not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do for our club and our members.

We appreciate you, Nicki and S4 Branding Co.! S4 Branding Co. Inc.Nicki Ross

❤️ Charity Steer Raffle Success ❤️

One of the highlights of our 76th Annual Knee Hill Valley 4-H Show & Sale was our Charity Steer Raffle.

This year, our members chose to donate 75% of the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House, with 25% retained by the club to help sustain this program for future years. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we were proud to present a donation of $15,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta.

This initiative would not have been possible without the generosity of the Sparks family, who donated the steer, and Trouw Nutrition, who generously donated the feed. Thank you for investing in our members and helping make such a meaningful impact.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who purchased raffle tickets and supported this project. Your support allows our members to learn the value of giving back while making a difference for families who need it most.

As fate would have it, the winning ticket belonged to Ron Hoar—an alumnus of our club, making the moment even more special. Ron and his wife, Laura, then chose to donate the steer back to the club to be sold through our annual sale.

We are incredibly grateful to Shunda Consulting & Construction Management for purchasing the steer and helping bring this story full circle.

What started as one donated steer became so much more—a lesson in community, generosity, and the power of working together.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this year’s Charity Steer program such a success. ❤️

The day our members work so hard toward all year has come to an end, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day filled with sunshine, smiles, and success.

Our Achievement Day began with the Female Show, followed by the Cleaver Show. After lunch, members competed in Steer Conformation before wrapping up the day with Showmanship. Congratulations to all of our participants and award winners! Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to your projects were evident throughout the day.

Our club would like to thank the Innisfail Auction Market for all they contribute to our success.

Stay tuned to our page for a complete breakdown of award winners following our Awards Evening on June 17.

As part of the sale, our members once again kicked things off by sharing their Year in Review, highlighting the many accomplishments, experiences, and lessons learned throughout the 4-H year.

We then moved into our Charity Steer Auction in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald House Our goal was ambitious: raise $20,000, with $15,000 being donated to Ronald McDonald House and $5,000 retained to sustain our Charity Steer Program for future years.

We’re thrilled to share that we achieved our goal!

It was a privilege to welcome Chelsea from Ronald McDonald House and present a cheque on behalf of our members, families, buyers, bidders, and supporters.

We cannot adequately express our gratitude to the businesses, buyers, volunteers, sponsors, families, and community members who continue to invest in our youth. Your support allows these young people to grow as leaders, develop valuable life skills, and proudly represent agriculture in our community.

Thank you for believing in our members. Your support makes all of this possible.
