RECYCLING IN IQALUIT

This is container number 7, we wont get it filled with bailed cans as we are on our last day here of bailing, however we still have some loose cans we have to get into it, but that part will wait till next year..at approx 6k to get the sea can to the buyer in south(includes cost of transportation in south of sea can back and forth from NEAS) Gotta make sure its completely full..!Over the 31 years we did the recycling approx over 40 million beer cans made it out from Iqaluit..

ullaakuu , this is Gilbert , hes working hard at getting these cans bailed up..He is a good worker....we are at about 65% done now..

Chugging along with these, our 4th container now getting near done we anticipate 6 containers this year. This is our last year doing this...we are not sure where the GN is at with opening a new location.

so after 31 years of recycling beer cans here in Iqaluit, our decision to end accepting them is now in effect!
We will no longer accept any beer cans for refunds at this location, The GN is working on establishing a new location for this service, and hopefully a new location will open soon..
there are many issues we have dealt with over the past few years and thought i wont go in to detail here...but its come to the realization That the effort we need to put is just getting harder to deal with every year so I have decided not to continue with it any longer...sorry for this inconvenience...

This Location will accept Recyclable's until and including AUG 9 2025, After that date we will no longer be accepting them.
HOURS ARE: Monday-Sat 10:00 AM TO 3:00PM ONLY
RECYCLABLES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OUTSIDE THESE HOURS.
