⚠️ Call for vigilance - Contaminated substance in circulation in Nunavik

‼At this moment, we have good reason to believe contaminated substances are in circulation in Nunavik.

If you use drugs or know someone who does, please be careful. Any substance from the illicit drug market can be contaminated and may contain unexpected substances, including opioids that can cause an overdose.

👇Signs of an overdose may include:
- The person does not respond to noise or pain;
- They have difficulty breathing or are breathing very slowly;
- Their lips or fingernails appear blueish.

If you notice these signs, administer naloxone immediately and call emergency.
👉If you use drugs or know someone who does, remember to:
- Avoid using alone or let someone know;
- Test the effects with a small quantity before using more;
- Keep naloxone on hand and administer it in case of signs of overdose;
- Call 9090 for help in case of an overdose.

Si vous consommez des drogues ou connaissez quelqu’un qui en consomme, soyez prudent. Toute substance provenant du marché des drogues illicites peut être contaminée et contenir des substances inattendues, y compris des opioïdes pouvant provoquer une surdose.
