CLSC Tasiujaq is part of the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center. The mission of the UTHC is to provide safe, accessible and quality health and social services to the seven Inuit communities of the Ungava Bay Coast, and rehabilitation services to the fourteen Inuit communities of Nunavik. โ€ผAt this moment, we have good reason to believe contaminated substances are in circulation in Nunavik.

If you use drugs or know someone who does, please be careful. Any substance from the illicit drug market can be contaminated and may contain unexpected substances, including opioids that can cause an overdose.

๐Ÿ‘‡Signs of an overdose may include:
- The person does not respond to noise or pain;
- They have difficulty breathing or are breathing very slowly;
- Their lips or fingernails appear blueish.

If you notice these signs, administer naloxone immediately and call emergency.
๐Ÿ‘‰If you use drugs or know someone who does, remember to:
- Avoid using alone or let someone know;
- Test the effects with a small quantity before using more;
- Keep naloxone on hand and administer it in case of signs of overdose;
- Call 9090 for help in case of an overdose.
