INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT
Examples of inappropriate content or messages that will be removed by social media moderators include but are not limited to the following:
• Provides or reveals personal information of individuals;
• Promotes, perpetuates or fosters discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, nationality, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
• Personal attacks on an individual or specific group;
• Sexually explicit or links to content that is sexually explicit;
• Conducts or encourages illegal activity;
• Solicitations, advertisements, announcements, or endorsements of any commercial, financial, labour or political organization;
• Promotes a candidate for municipal, provincial or federal election;
• Compromises the safety or security of the public or public systems;
• Violates a legal ownership interest of another party;
• Does not comply with municipal, provincial or federal legislation;
• Promotes an individual religion or religious service;
• Links to inappropriate content;
• Unintelligible or irrelevant messages, non-related to the particular site or material being commented on;
• Offensive to an individual or an organization: profane, hateful, insulting, rude, abusive, aggressive, or violent;
• Defamatory or harassing remarks, or serious, unproven/unsupported or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations;
• Repetition or spam, such as the same comment being posted repeatedly;
• Impersonates or misrepresents someone else, including public figures or City officials;
• Messages that City of Kenora deems as not adding to the normal flow of conversation/dialogue/debate;
