Local schools, businesses, community groups, and local government all play an important role in making our area such a special place to live, work, and visit. What better way to showcase that community spirit than through a project that helps beautify our communities with flowers, greenery, and welcoming public spaces.

The Killaloe & Area Lions Club proudly embraced this initiative through the installation of new flower boxes throughout downtown Killaloe. These planters represent Phase One of a larger beautification project focused on creating vibrant and inviting spaces across the Township.

While the project begins in downtown Killaloe, the long-term vision is to expand these flower installations throughout KHR, helping create a more connected, colourful, and welcoming community for residents and visitors alike.

Phase Two of the project, set to launch later this June, will introduce Muskoka chairs and additional gathering spaces to further enhance the character of our downtown areas.

This project is a great example of what can be achieved when community organizations, volunteers, businesses, schools, and local government work together toward a common goal.
