REMINDER-- looking to help serve your community, join a team and try something new and challenging?

Come out to the firehall May 13th from 6 to 8 pm.

We will have some equipment to try on and work with, talk to the members about any questions you may have, try something fun and see if its right for you.

KTMFD crews were called out May 11 at 14:59 for a downed power line on the fire chiefs lawn.

Thanks to Ingrid Stein and Curtis Nichol for blocking the street before fire crews arrived to ensure safety to unaware oncoming motorists.

Also thanks to Manitoba Hydro for a super fast response and a quick cleanup of the power line to ensure everyone's safety and resume traffic flow on the street.

KTMFD would like to Bob Brown for his donation of a very slightly used e-bike to our department. He wanted us to sell the bike with all the proceeds directly back to the fire department.
We will be auctioning it off May 16/2026 at the Ripping Roaring bull riding event held at 7pm at the Killarney Shamrock Center.

Today at 09:47 KTMFD crews were called out to a semi tractor trailer rollover on HWY 3 west of Killarney.
We would like to thank all who were able to respond, shout out to the snow plow driver who assisted in clearing debris and canola from the highway to be able to quickly re-open the highway.

KTMFD would like to send a huge thank you to the Wilderness Inn from Boissevain for their generous donation of blankets to our fire department from their recent upgrades at the hotel.
These blankets will help keep patients warm and comfortable during vehicle accidents and incidents. We have also shared some of these blankets with our neighboring fire departments in our mutual aid district.

We also would throw a big thanks to Bernie and Maragret Turner for their donation of stuffed toys which will help keep children calm in traumatic situations.

We hope everyone had fun riding around in the Green fire trucks.
Rumor has it there was even a leprechaun in attendance. 🍀☘️
