Hello Kimberley 👋
With Kimberley's 🗳Final Voting Day in the municipal election quickly approaching on October 17 (with Advance Voting already underway☑️), and with October being 🍁Canadian Library Month, the Kimberley Public Library has invited all candidates for Mayor and City Council to answer one question ❓ about the role of our 📚public library in the community.
Throughout Canadian Library Month, we've been encouraging our community to get and think about the many ways public libraries contribute to the communities they serve. With a municipal election happening at the same time, we asked the people seeking to represent Kimberley for the next term this question:
Q. What do you see as the essential services and roles of the Kimberley Public Library in our community, and how would you support the Library in continuing to meet the needs of Kimberley residents?
We'll be sharing the responses we receive as part of an in-the-library election display at the Kimberley Public Library during the week of October 13–17, leading up to Final Voting Day on Saturday, October 17, and also on the Library website 👇
Candidate responses are available here:

✋A message from the Kimberley Library:
"As part of our commitment to intellectual freedom and access to information, the Library provides access to a variety of community resources and viewpoints. Inclusion of a resource does not imply endorsement or support by the Library.
We encourage community members to explore these resources and make their own informed decisions about the information they contain."
