We are thrilled to officially welcome Dan to his new role as Housing Navigator! After joining us earlier this year as a Case Manager, Dan recently stepped into this new position and is already loving it. He works tirelessly to assist residents in finding stable housing after Ryandale, collaborating directly with local landlords to secure safe places for our community to call home. 🏠

A Little About Dan

Driven by Empathy: Dan brings deep compassion, understanding, and personal insight to his work, celebrating 7 years clean.

Community-Minded: He builds strong, collaborative relationships with local housing partners to open doors for our residents.

Board Game Enthusiast: Outside of his work, Dan enjoys a good strategy game like Risk or Catan.

September is Recovery Awareness Month. 💜

Recovery is rarely a straight line, and it’s not a journey meant to be walked alone.

For those rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness, trauma, or addiction, recovery requires more than just a safe place to sleep. It requires time, structure, and community.

That is where Ryandale Transitional Housing comes in. We provide safe, sober living spaces in Kingston where residents can spend up to a year healing and focusing on long-term stability. For our residents, recovery means reclaiming their independence, learning vital life skills, and breaking the cycle of homelessness. This month, we celebrate the incredible resilience of our residents, past and present.

Recovery is possible, and with the right foundation, a healthier future is within reach.🌱

We are thrilled to officially introduce Justin!

Justin joins us with a profound commitment to human-centered care. In his day-to-day role, Justin works directly with residents to guide them through the transitional housing program. From daily check-ins and providing direct support through life’s daily challenges, he ensures every resident has the tools and care they need to succeed.

What stands out most about Justin is his deep dedication to the people he serves. He approaches case management with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to create lasting change in our community.

It was a time for the "SAGES" 😏✨😅

A day of beautiful weather led us right back to one of our favorite spots: The Indigenous Food Sovereignty Garden! ☀️🌿

We spent the morning harvesting fresh sage and bundling it up to dry. There’s really nothing like reconnecting with the land, soaking in the sun.

A big thank you to Thane, owner of Porch Hair Salon (827 Victoria St.), for continuing to support Ryandale! 💇‍♂️✨

Thane has been generously offering his hair services to our residents on their path to recovery. Looking good and feeling cleaned up is a nice little boost when working toward new goals, and our residents always appreciate his time and skill.
