She has found a wonderful home! Thank you everyone who stepped up!

Hi Everyone.
I am aware of a 1 year old female Basset Hound Looking for her forever home. She is very well loved where she is now, but circumstances have changed for her family and they are no longer able to keep her. She is up to date on shots, spayed. Her location is in Powell River..
Info on her.
1 Year old. Great with kids and other dogs. Cats are unknown
Mostly house trained. You do need to let her out
She is crate trained
She walks well on a Halti
She will wait for food and to walk through a door. She will wait until you tell her.
She knows Shake a Paw
She is learning not to jump up. ( this is mostly when she is excited)
She has some flakey skin which is getting better with Shampoo, Fish Based Food and Omega 3 Oil.

Ideal Family:
Will love her to ends of the earth and back
Have a fenced yard
Does not live in an apartment or condo
Has at least 1 person at home during the day ( isn't left alone for long periods of time)
Kids are highly preferred, but for the right family it would be ok without.
Be able to travel to Powell River to meet her and Pick up.
Must be willing to meet her current family

There is a rehoming fee and she will come with all her " things" Crate, bed, dishes, food etc.

Meet Ottis. Ottis is 2 years old and Neutered. He is looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. Otis is good with Kids and other dogs, but is unknown with cats. His owner has found himself in a tough situation and has made the heartbreaking decision to put Ottis's needs first. Ottis is an inside dog, but he will need some work with manners, but he has a very soft temperament and is begging to please!
Ottis is Located in the Kootenays, and the closest city would be Trail. He is also Up to date on shots and deworming.

Let your Basset Strut his or her stuff at our Basset Hound Races! Come meet other dogs! Participae in one day or both! October 21-22 2017 at the Cloverdale Agriplex!

Interesting article!

Growling is quite possibly one of the most misunderstood expressions in dogs. The behavior isn't evil and it doesn't always mean a dog is unfriendly.

Basset was hit by a care and left abandoned on the side of the road. We were contact and we said yes and committed to medical funding to save this dog. We need help with emergency funding to fulfill this this commitment to save this basset. Ple

We are going to be holding a fundraiser to raise some money for the rescue. A member has donated her Basset Hound figurine Collection. It is a huge collection with all kinds of great things! Some of it is vintage, and others modern. We will be starting the auction later today. End times will be in the auction description.
Please share this with everyone you know, so that we can get some bids in, and raise some money to help the Bassets! Shipping will be worldwide at buyers cost!
