Barriers to Indigenous economic development still limit access to capital and opportunity. At the Rural Development Indigenous Partnerships panel in PEI, NACCA CEO, Shannin Metatawabin highlighted the path forward. "Indigenous Financial Institutions are working to remove barriers by keeping capital in communities, supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, and building long-term prosperity. When capital flows, projects gain committed partners with deep community ties which builds solid economic foundations and stronger partners in development."

Community Notice – Bridge Repairs

It has been reported that vehicles are traveling at excessive speeds on the Bridge.

Lennox Island First Nation would like to remind all residents and visitors to exercise caution and reduce their speed while traveling across the bridge during the ongoing repair work.

There are workers actively performing repairs both on and underneath the bridge, and their safety is our top priority. Excessive speed creates unnecessary risks for the crews working in the area and for other motorists.

We kindly ask everyone to obey posted signage, slow down, and remain alert when crossing the bridge. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated as this important work is completed.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
