Platform Announcement!📢🥒

As your Nanaimo City Councillor, I will work to introduce property tax incentives for homeowners, and other incentives for renters, who grow their own food in their home gardens as a solution to the on-going affordability crisis that the people of Nanaimo are facing.

I will prioritize making our community more sustainable for future generations, and work to ensure that we increase Nanaimo’s local food security in the face of uncertain trade dynamics.

It was great to connect with folks at the Chase River and Cinnabar Valley Heritage Days today.

I had a lot of a great conversations with folks, from housing affordability and public transit, to cutting building permit wait times and connecting our communities with Community Centres.

One of the great things about being a candidate this election, is talking to so many people in our community.

Unfortunately, I’m hearing from seniors, workers, newcomers and young people about the challenges that they’re facing regarding housing affordability.

When I’m elected to serve you as a Nanaimo City Councillor, I will work across jurisdictions with the provincial and federal governments to build more public and affordable housing for our community.

Another busy weekend on the CAMpaign trail!

Had a blast at the Downtown Nanaimo Business Association’s amazing Picnic in the Park!

Also, an amazing turnout at the Nanaimo Duncan and District Labour Council’s (NDDLC) annual Labour Day picnic! It was great to connect with our local Labour leaders, like Emma from CUPW, Megan from BCTF, and John Humphrey, President of the NDDLC.

Thanks to my amazing CAMpaign volunteers, Breyanna and Naomi! The momentum is building!
