FOYER ARÈS 🤝 En 1954, une idée visionnaire 💡 a pris forme grâce à l'honorable J.H. Brocklebank, député provincial et ministre des Ressources, qui a proposé la construction d'une résidence pour les aînés à Zenon Park. Grâce aux efforts dévoués du Père Armand Arès 🙏, la Zenon Park Housing Company Ltd. a vu le jour, et le 12 octobre 1956, la Saskatchewan a vu l'ouverture du “Foyer Arès,” la toute première résidence pour personnes âgées dans la province, offrant dix appartements modernes à un loyer modeste. 💰🏠
L’inauguration a été un moment mémorable 🎉, marquée par la présence de l'honorable T.C. Douglas, premier ministre de la Saskatchewan, et de Monseigneur Léo Blais, évêque de Prince Albert ⛪. Parmi les premiers résidents figuraient des membres bien-aimés de notre communauté ❤️ qui ont contribué à façonner l’esprit de notre ville.
Aujourd'hui, bien que le Foyer Arès ait été conçu à l'origine comme un refuge pour les aînés, il a évolué pour servir une communauté diversifiée 🌍. En 1969, l'administration a été transférée au conseil municipal de Zenon Park, marquant son incorporation en tant que “Park Lodge,” un témoignage de notre engagement envers le bien-être de tous les résidents 🤝.

ARÈS FOYER 🤝 In 1954, a visionary idea 💡 took root thanks to the Honorable J.H. Brocklebank, Provincial Deputy and Minister of Resources, who proposed the construction of a residence for seniors in Zenon Park. With the dedicated efforts of Father Armand Arès 🙏, the Zenon Park Housing Company Ltd. was born, and on October 12, 1956, Saskatchewan welcomed “Foyer Arès," its very first residence for the elderly, featuring ten modern apartments with modest rent. 💰🏠
The grand opening was a momentous occasion 🎉, marked by the presence of the Honorable T.C. Douglas, Prime Minister of Saskatchewan, and Monseigneur Léo Blais, Bishop of Prince Albert ⛪. Among the first residents were beloved community members ❤️ who helped shape our town's spirit.
Today, while Foyer Arès began as a haven for seniors, it has evolved to serve a diverse community 🌍. In 1969, the administration was handed over to the Zenon Park Town Council, marking its incorporation as “Park Lodge," a testament to our commitment to the well-being of all residents 🤝.
