It's that time of the year again!! We're proud to announce the return of the Town of Norman Wells Post-Secondary Scholarship, now entering its fourth year of supporting local students in their educational journeys!
This scholarship offers financial assistance to eligible residents pursuing post-secondary education or trades training. Best of all, residents can apply each year they’re enrolled, helping to ease the cost of education over time.

Fire Safety Reminder from the Norman Wells Fire Department

Over the past month, we’ve responded to two fires that could have become much more serious. In both cases, quick-thinking individuals used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before it spread.

These incidents are a great reminder that having a charged, accessible fire extinguisher can make all the difference.

Please take a few minutes to:
✅ Make sure your fire extinguisher is fully charged.
✅ Keep it in an easy-to-reach location.
✅ Ensure everyone in your home or workplace knows where it is and how to use it.
✅ Consider keeping a charged fire extinguisher in your vehicle so you always have one ready to take with you to the campsite, job site, or anywhere an emergency could happen.
