Go to War for Yourself
Your future needs your commitment more than your past needs your loyalty.
There comes a time when you must become as committed to saving yourself as you have been to saving everyone else.
Not because you are selfish.
Not because you no longer care about others.
But because your life also deserves your protection.
Going to war for yourself means confronting the habits, fears, excuses, environments, and beliefs that keep pulling you away from who you are becoming. It means recognizing that some of your greatest battles will not be against other people. They will be against the parts of you that learned to survive but have not yet learned how to feel safe, receive more, or move forward.
This is not a war built on violence.
It is a sacred fight for your peace.
For your healing.
For your children.
For your purpose.
For the future your ancestors never had the opportunity to experience.
And some days, going to war for yourself will look quiet. It will look like getting out of bed, studying when you want to quit, going to the gym, managing your money, making the phone call, setting a boundary, praying, starting again, or finally believing that your dreams are worthy of your effort.
You do not have to destroy yourself to become someone new.
But you may have to release the version of you that keeps accepting less than you deserve.
