211 Tuesday: Stronger Together Through Community Partnerships!

Last week was a great week of connections and conversations at the 2026 Western Ontario Municipal Conference in Guelph, Ontario!

Francesca Dobbyn, Executive Director of United Way of Bruce Grey, joined Ryan Erb of United Way Perth-Huron and United Housing for a panel discussion on how municipalities and United Ways can work together to improve access to mental health and social services.

The discussion highlighted the importance of strong community partnerships, coordinated services, and making it easier for residents to find the help they need.

Sarah Owens from Community Connection was also on hand with an informative 211 booth, sharing how this free, confidential service connects people with essential community programs and resources.

At United Way of Bruce Grey, we know that stronger partnerships build stronger communities. And 211 plays an important role in making those connections happen!

Need help finding local services? Call 211. Help starts here!

🛏️💙 4 BEDS FUNDED! WE’RE 17% OF THE WAY THERE! 💛

Thanks to the generosity of our community, 4 of our 24 shelter beds have now been sponsored, and we’ve reached 17% of our fundraising goal! 🎉

With our overnight emergency shelter opening November 1, we’re working hard to make sure every bed is ready to welcome a neighbour in need of a safe, warm place to rest.

Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to that goal.

💛 20 beds still need sponsors. Can you help us make room for everyone?
