2026 summer reading club😎-yep it starts on July 2 every Thursday for ages 5-12 in July and August from 3:00-4:30. July 16 is our special museum morning- meet us at the museum at 10:30 .Ages under 6 please have an adult with you- find the pieces of local history, have a snack and take home a phone insulator. They were used in 1950s -1970s when Windthorst had its phone company. Why join the summer reading club? We have a book bingo to track summer reading and help kids keep their reading skills and avoid the summer slide. We have a kid’s bookclub where we read “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” starting July 9. Monthly Prize draws for gift cards to Chapters. The more you read, the more entries you can make. It’s fun to make stuff and play with your friends, plus there are free snacks. The snacks and museum morning are sponsored by the Community Initiative Fund. Questions? ❤️June: we have some “firsts” happening: first baseball basics workshop on June 13, first family golf tournament on June 14, first LOL at the Pirate’s game on June 19 with The Bubble Lady in person, first chance to register for Acrylic paint morning for kids on July 6, first chance to register for Mobile Playground and Summer Reading Program happening July 13-17.
Also Jill will offer an early learning playtime for young ones and moms /dads in June or July - moms just let me know what evening works for you. Drop in anytime this month for painting a scarecrow for village wide “seek & find” this summer. Drop in and make a 100 years of Windthorst school 1926-2026 and a Library 60 years button.
