On Sunday, August 23rd Heritage NL is bringing Nan & Pop's Cookbook to Port au Choix from 2-4pm!

We're hosting a Cookbook Workshop at the GNP Community Place and want to see you there. Nan and Pop’s Cookbook is a project where people will create their own scrapbook style recipe pages; and scan their traditional recipes to be shared with future generations. We also encourage community members to bring their photos of garden parties, mug ups, birthday parties, and family meals to be scanned. The recipes and some photos will be included in a wider NL cookbook.

You bring your recipe(s), and we will supply the scrapbooking materials, tea, coffee, and snacks!

Community Notice - Respect for Private Property

The town would like to remind parents to please speak with their children about the importance of respecting private property thoughout our community.
Residents have expressed concerns about children and youth entering private properties, yards, driveways, sheds without permission.
Respecting our neighbours and their property helps keep our community safe, friendly, and enjoyable for everyone.
We appreciate the cooperation of parents and residents in helping our young people understand the importance of respecting personal boundaries and private property.

Attention: All these items and more are placed in our protected watershed area up behind the ballfield. They need to be removed. There is a designated area just up from this area for fishermen to use to put their fishing gear. Whomever owns these items please have them removed by the end of August. Thank you for your co-operation.
