It’s been an exciting time at North Island Community Services Society. From moving into our new office headquarters at Cheslakees, welcoming our NICSS programs onsite, there has been lots happening.

Inside, you’ll find updates on our programs, success stories, participant spotlights, new programming, fundraising events, and more!

A Big Thank You to MOWI & Staff! 🩷

North Island Community Services Society would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to MOWI and their staff, as well as everyone who stopped by the OrcaFest BBQ and supported us!

Thanks to MOWI’s incredible generosity, the proceeds from the BBQ were donated to NICSS, helping us raise over $1,800! 🎉

These contributions will go directly toward supporting our Family Connection Programs, including Promising Babies and CAPC (Canadian Action Program for Children).

Promising Babies is a community-based prenatal and postpartum drop-in program for women during pregnancy and after birth. Offering programming in Port McNeill and Port Hardy!

CAPC is a supportive drop-in program for parents, caregivers, and children ages 0–6. The program provides families with opportunities to connect, participate in activities, access resources, and build supportive relationships.

We are incredibly grateful to MOWI, their amazing staff, and everyone who came out to enjoy the BBQ and support NICSS. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference for local families and helps us continue providing these important programs in our communities.
