Naskapi Police 14th Annual Bicycle Rodeo!!

Join us on July 16, 2026 for our 14th Annual Bicycle Rodeo!

📍 Location: Old rink behind the school (weather permitting). In the event of bad weather, activities will be held at the arena.

Come join the Naskapi Police team for a day of learning, fun, and bicycle safety. We look forward to seeing all the youth in our community there!

Today, our thoughts are with the family, loved ones, and colleagues of the SPVM police officer who lost his life in the line of duty.

We also hold the injured officers, first responders, and everyone affected by this tragedy in our thoughts.

Naskapi Police Community Clean-Up Operation

The Naskapi Police will be hosting a community clean-up operation on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Participants are invited to help keep our community clean by collecting litter and bringing filled garbage bags to the police station.

Garbage bags and gloves will be provided at the police station garage.
Participants will receive one coupon for each bag brought to the police station.
Coupons will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a flight.
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided by the Naskapi Police at 4:00 p.m.

The more bags you bring, the more coupons you receive and the greater your chance of winning!

Date: Friday, June 12, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Police Station Garage

Naskapi Police would like to take a moment to congratulate Chief Tommy Condo.

With his family by his side, Chief Condo received his 15 Year Service Award on June 11, 2026 presented by the Quebec Association of First Nation and Inuit Police Directors.

Chief Condo's continued passion, dedication and commitment to both First Nation Policing and the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach is an inspiration. Congratulations Chief Condo!

The Naskapi Police would like to remind all drivers to slow down on the highway.

Road work and the grader are currently fixing the road, so please drive carefully and respect the speed limits to help keep everyone safe.
