Red Deer Deserves the Truth.
Today, while going through my mail, I came across a “2025 in Review” flyer from our Conservative MP.
As a former Liberal candidate and a proud Red Deer resident, I feel compelled to speak not as a politician, but as a neighbour.
Red Deer deserves honest, constructive representation.
Year-in-review messages should focus on real achievements and measurable results, not photo ops or fear-based narratives.
Healthcare matters to all of us. Constitutionally, it is a provincial responsibility, with the federal government providing funding, national standards, and collaboration. Since taking office, the Carney government has prioritized predictable health transfers, workforce supports, and provincial accountability agreements.
If local healthcare struggles persist, Albertans deserve honesty about who is responsible. Blaming Ottawa does not reduce ER wait times or staffing shortages.
Transparency is especially important amid public criticism and allegations involving former Alberta Health Minister Adriana LaGrange, including claims of political interference. A recall petition highlighted lost public trust, yet these issues were absent from our MP’s flyer.
Red Deer deserves answers: where was our MP when residents raised concerns? Trust is earned, and publicly aligning with individuals tied to scandal undermines it.
Red Deer grows because of newcomers, not in spite of them. Immigrants and refugees work, pay taxes, volunteer, and raise families here. Using them as political scapegoats divides our community and ignores reality.
Responsible opposition is crucial. Red Deer residents want concrete results: What has our Conservative MP delivered for seniors, youth, workers, small businesses and farmers?
I’m curious where he and his other Conservative Colleagues who are elected from Alberta stands on unity in Canada. Does he reject divisive rhetoric and support a united country? If not why occupy a seat in Canadian Parliament ?
Can he also share why he didn’t sign the non-partisan “Forever Canada” petition, which was supported by thousands of Red Deer residents as a show of national solidarity?
Since taking office, the Carney Liberal government has demonstrated credible leadership strengthening healthcare, restoring integrity to immigration, supporting seniors and youth, backing small businesses, and standing up for Alberta workers while planning for the future.
Red Deer is diverse, growing, and strongest when we tell the truth. As a former Liberal candidate and proud resident, I will continue to speak up not for a party, but for our community.
As an advocate for Red Deer, I will also be hosting non-partisan coffee meetups on the first Saturday of every month, where residents can come together, discuss local issues, and plan how we can advocate for our concerns at different levels of government. The location of these meetups will be announced soon. Everyone is welcome to join, share ideas, and work toward a stronger, more connected community.
Let’s make Red Deer more prosperous, transparent, and united. 🇨🇦
