2026 Red Lake Winter Carnival

A Full Day of Winter Carnival Fun!
Get ready for one of the busiest and most exciting days of the Winter Carnival - Saturday is absolutely packed with food, family activities, friendly competition, live music, and non‑stop community spirit.
Pancake Breakfast

Kick off your Saturday with a warm and delicious Pancake Breakfast, proudly hosted by the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Ladies Auxiliary. A perfect start to a fun‑filled Winter Carnival day.
Poker Run

Sign up for the always‑popular Red Lake Trailmasters Poker Run! Register at the Legion and gear up for a day of adventure,
community connection, and snowy trail excitement.
Early Years Open Gym
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | St. John School Gymnasium
Little ones can run, jump, and play at the Early Years Open Gym, hosted by the Kenora Catholic District School Board and the Kenora District Services Board. A great way for families to start the morning together.
Hot Chocolate Challenge

Warm up with delicious samples at the Hot Chocolate Challenge! Taste different recipes, enjoy the cozy atmosphere, and vote for your favourite blend.

Battle of the Badges Hockey Game

Ice Skating Carnival
1:00 PM & 6:00 PM | Cochenour Arena
Enjoy the magic of winter at the Ice Skating Carnival, featuring two showtimes. A great chance to take in performances and community energy on the ice.
Sugar Shack – Maple Taffy on a Stick

Visit the Francophone Association of Red Lake’s Sugar Shack for a classic winter treat—sweet, warm maple taffy on a stick.
Big Dave McLean & Night Danger Live Music

The Legion comes alive with a full night of music featuring Big Dave McLean and his band, along with local favourites Night Danger. (There will be a Legion Bar) A perfect way to wrap up a day of Carnival excitement.
