Ken was a kind man who was always so encouraging and supportive.

Ken had great pride in his Ukrainian heritage and a love for the Saskatchewan people.

He will be missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family.

On behalf of a grateful party, government and province, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family and many, many friends of former MLA, opposition leader, minister and Deputy Premier Ken Krawetz, one of the founding members of the Saskatchewan Party.

This one hurts a lot.  In any room Ken was in, whether as a teacher, school board trustee, opposition or government caucus member, cabinet minister or at the kitchen table talking to a constituent, Ken was always the guy who brought the logic, integrity, compassion and common sense to arrive at the right decision.

Ken loved his community.  He loved his province.  He loved serving his province.  He loved his friends and he loved his family more than anything.  He even loved the Toronto Maple Leafs.  His big heart struggled at times, but it was only because he shared pieces of it with so many.

Flags at the Legislature will be lowered to half-mast in honour of Ken Krawetz.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to join Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) at their Women Entrepreneur of the Year Celebration.

It was an honour to celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding women entrepreneurs whose leadership and dedication help make Saskatchewan stronger everyday.

By creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs, WESK is helping more Saskatchewan women turn ambition into action and ideas into successful businesses.

Thank you so much for having me!

Congratulations Trevor

What an amazing acomplishment!

Trevor Jacek was part of the winning 4x400 metre relay team at the World Masters Athletics Championships in South Korea. While he’s a world-class athlete now, he only began running after hitting age 30.

While Canada lost 42,000 jobs in August, Saskatchewan's strong, steady economy created 2,600 new jobs.

Saskatchewan has lost a true original. We remember and honour David Thauberger, whose remarkable talent helped capture the heart and spirit of our province. Through his iconic work, he celebrated the people, places and communities that make Saskatchewan so special.

David's contributions to art and culture earned some of our country's highest honours, including the Order of Canada and the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.

On behalf of the people of Saskatchewan, I extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his talent and passion for this province.
