The Riverview Veterans & Armed Forces Association was well represented today at the D-Day memorial ceremony.

We paraded alongside Moncton Legion Br # 6, inside the Veterans Health Centre

Robert Sheehan presented a wreath on behalf of the Riverview Veterans and Bill Hanson laid a wreath on behalf of the Town of Riverview

Tomorrow Sunday , June 7 we will be on parade honouring D-Day with the members of Legion Br #6 Moncton

The Ceremony will begin at 1:30 PM at the Legion location at 100 War Veterans Ave, Moncton

Today we honour and remember the 359 Canadians who were killed on D-Day June 6 1944, as part of Operation Overlord which launched the successful liberation of Western-Europe.

This afternoon the Riverview Veterans & Armed Forces Association were proud to support the Royal Roads For Kids fundraiser to help out The Humanity Project, the weather was great paired with great people and music provided by the Riverview High School students.

The 50/50 raffle raised $59.00 which will be donated to The Humanity Project . 👍

Thank you to J.R. MacDonald, Joao Pereira, Mike Murray, Linda Murray, Robert Sheehan, Carrie Bayerle , Dave Fyffe and Dave Bayerle.

These Veterans help make these events happen, and the continued support from our community is greatly appreciated, thank you 👍

We had a great evening celebrating our Dart accomplishments and enjoying some home cooked BBQ burgers 🍔and hot dogs 🌭
